Roy Pearson after deciding to finish playing football.
What has been the highlight of your career so far and why?
Being nominated for the National List of Assistant Referee’s 2009 and gaining promotion to Level 3.
What is the biggest game you have officiated and why?
Unibond Playoff Final 2008, FC United of Manchester V Skelmersdale. Big game Manchester V Liverpool, rivalry, played at Gigg Lane (Bury’s Ground) 3,000 fans and the chance to win promotion.
What are your aims and ambitions as a referee?
Aims: to enjoy the football league and to continue enjoying refereeing at level 3 with a view to promotion.
Ambitions: to officiate at Wembley for any reason
What/Who has been the biggest influence on your career and why?
Don’t really have one I enjoy refereeing and enjoy football so to be a part of the game at any level is enough.
